U of W Firekeepers Grade 12 Enrichment Conference - Nov. 25-28, 2008
The Aboriginal High School Enrichment Program invited four students from Beausoleil First Nation to spend five days living in St.Paul's residence at the University of Waterloo while attending an Allied Health themed conference that's centred around the teachings of the medicine wheel and physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health. Students received a first-hand glimpse of what post-secondary education consists of and has to offer. During each conference the students attended various hands-on workshops; sit in on special university-level lectures; toured campus and allied health related faculties including Applied Health Sciences, Environmental Studies, and our new School of Pharmacy, etc.
The students that were chosen to participate were: Keegan Jamieson, Morgan King, Adrianna Monague & Trevor Sylvester. Photographs will be available soon!
